Wow what a storm. Thanks to the storm, we got today off. Yippee!! Hopefully the storm hangs around tomorrow so we can have the weekend off. By god we need it. Bending over for 8 hours a day pulling out vines is not good for the back. We may be picking cherries from Monday but the rain may delay it a few days.

Yippee we finally started working!!! We arrived in Mt Pleasant on Tuesday & started working on Wednesday. We get up at 4.45am & need to be at the boss's place by 6am. We are sub contracting for B & J Contracting - Vinyard & Orchards. We have been wire lifting for the grape vines so far. My hands hurt but I'm happy to be actually doing something for a change. Rob became the accidental boss for about 5 min...... The land owner told him to get the asian's working faster. He just said OK! He felt important......

We have decided to leave Pinnaroo & head to the Adelaide Hills. We have sat around for 4 weeks twiddling our thumbs waiting for ABB to calls us for a start date. I think they have broken fingers or they can't afford a phone call as there has been no contact for over 3 weeks. Can't be expected to wait forever. Totally over it so we have found work elsewhere. Will keep you updated with where & when we start work.

Warrumbungles Observatory - April 2009
Orion Nebula
Hi Everyone

Rob & I are now in Pinnaroo SA. We are waiting to start work on the Grain Harvest. It is really hot, in the 40+ range. We have been in Pinnaroo for approx 4 weeks. We arrived here after a 12 hour drive from Port Melbourne after getting off the Spirit of Tasmania. We spent 7 weeks travelling thru Tasmania. It's a pretty place when it's not raining!! Anyway we can now say we have been there and done that.
